Please note that unless you have gotten to know David Feng in person (in any way, through the Internet or in the "real world"), you are advised to contact David only via email. (You may, however, follow him on microblogs such as Twitter.) Persons who are in possession of David's name card or his mobile phone number may directly call David. The same applies to all recognized friends on SNS networks. Phone numbers are registered electronically and automatically. For safety reasons, if you are a new caller and fail to identify yourself after being prompted three times, you may be unable to reach David Feng for a short period of time. For safety reasons, all communications (including email and IM messages) are retained. At present, David Feng does not accept calls from telemarketers. |
Email sent to David Feng will, in general, receive a response within 24 to 36 hours. At times, if the matter is long or complex, a "placeholder response" may be sent. Follow-ups often occur within a week. Messages will be replied to with delays (or may not be replied to at all) on the following days: all Sundays, as well as January 1, March 21, April 3, May 8, June 21, September 10 and 23, November 15 and 19, and December 5, 14, 22 and 29-31. The email system is secured by a rather active spam filter. Please mention David Feng by name or by his projects to get past the spam filter. Please expect an additional delay of up to 24 hours if your message is caught by the spam filter. We regret the inconvenience. Faster responses are available by SMS text messaging, or by a phone call or SNS / IM message session. Emails sent in English, Chinese, German, French and Italian will receive a response in that language. Please enclose an English or Chinese translation for emails sent in all other languages. For safety reasons, David Feng may request that you introduce yourself when you add him on LinkedIn or Facebook. Failing that, you may be temporarily blocked. If you are indeed blocked and wish to appeal the block, please email David -- he will deal with it. To stay in touch with David Feng, you may also subscribe to his email updates, which will be sent to you four times a year (in general). Please note that illegal or abusive communications may result in police and legal action. |
